Speaking on the November 29 edition of WWE's The Bump, Santos Escobar stated that he hopes Orton does not show up, as he does not want to take the legend out.

“I just heard that Randy’s gonna show up on SmackDown this Friday. Is that correct? Well, I hope he doesn’t show up. I know he’s the legend killer, but I just sent a legend away for good. I don’t want to send him away too. So if he’s watching this, I hope he doesn’t show up," Escobar said.

Escobar took out Rey Mysterio with a vicious attack on the November 10 episode of WWE SmackDown, and the legend is set to be out of action for several weeks as he recovers from surgery. At WWE Survivor Series, Escobar defeated Dragon Lee.

Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown as it airs on December 1.
