Saraya: There Is Space For A Women's Tag Division In AEW

Saraya wouldn't mind expanding the women's division.

The women's division in AEW has continued to grow with new signings, leading to more television time for the division. Arguably no signing has been more prominent than Saraya, who debuted at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

Speaking to Alfred Konuwa of Forbes, Saraya was asked about the expanding women's division and the possible introduction of AEW Women's Tag Team Titles.

"I’m always for an all-women’s show, for sure. I feel like there could be a tag division we could get going as well. Like [women’s] tag team championships. I don’t think we should load wrestling with a ton of championships, but there is space for a women’s tag division, too. There are a lot of women we have backstage that are not on the show, and that could give them an opportunity to be on the show. There is always so much we could do with the women, and people don’t realize how much talent we have backstage," she said.

AEW expanded its tag team division in 2022 with the introduction of AEW Trios Championships, which are currently held by Death Triangle (Penta El Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix, & PAC).

Saraya is set to compete on the January 11 episode of AEW Dynamite in tag team action when she brings in a mystery partner to take on Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker. You can find her comments on Sasha Banks potentially being her partner by clicking here.
