Sasha Banks and Snoop Dogg might be first cousins but that does not mean they have had a lifelong bond.
Appearing on the latest episode of The Steve Austin Show, Banks told "Stone Cold" that she and the famous rapper actually are not particularly close.
Banks said the following about her relationship with Snoop:
"He's my cousin but we're not very close. People always think like we're like best friends or really cousin cousins where we went to each other's houses and got to hang out. No. I didn't meet this guy until I was, like, 12. and he came to Iowa for a concert. Anytime he came around, we would always go to the concert and this and that. He told me he loved wrestling, I told me I loved wrestling, and that was our bond. And anytime he hosted Raw or I saw he hosted WrestleMania during the divas match, I was like, 'Please bring me with you' and every time he did."
Banks noted that Snoop encouraged her to pursue a career in wrestling.
"I told him I wanted to be a wrestler when I grew up and he said, 'if that's your dream, you go get it.' "
Snoop was inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016. He also was part of his cousin's entrance for her big triple threat title match at WrestleMania 32, performing as Banks made her way to the ring,
"What a dream come true of having a legend in the rap game come out and do your entrance and it's a family member, too," Banks said.
