Sean Waltman teases that he could return to the ring.
Sean Waltman, also known as X-Pac, returned to the ring at GCW Welcome To Heartbreak in February 2022. He had been sidelined due to knee surgery, but Waltman was seemingly set for a run in GCW. He faced Joey Janela at Joey Janela's Spring Break 6 Part 1, but he suffered a torn bicep in the bout. At the time, Waltman said that he'd have a few more matches following surgery.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Waltman commented on his health by noting that he feels good after he previously had surgery for his torn bicep.
"I feel healthy. Life is great. I had a match and I tore my bicep [against Joey Janela]. I had that next match planned, and instead of just getting my arm fixed, like any normal and sane person would have, my doctor was telling me, ‘You gotta get this done right away,'" Waltman said.
Van Vliet then noted that wrestlers never retire, and Waltman stated that as he previously said, while he doesn't have plans for a return, he'll never say he's done.
“Last time, I was telling you, I don’t have any plans, but I’m not ever saying, ‘I’m done.’ Yeah [that’s how I feel now]," he said.
When asked whether fans could see him have another match, Waltman stated that it was definitely a possibility. Waltman noted that he has ben training, and while he's not saying he wants to have another run, he made it clear that he could do a multi-man match.
"Oh yeah, most definitely. Yeah, I’ve been training, feeling good. I’m not saying another run or anything like that, but if I needed to be in a match, like a six-man or something like that, I could kill it. I could do all the stuff I used to do," he said.
Waltman also expressed that he would be open to doing a Royal Rumble appearance, as he noted that he "could do that" when Van Vliet brought it up.
A recent report noted that Waltman wasn't interested in a one-off appearance for AEW, and he was getting back in ring shape. More information is available here.
