Seth Rollins continues to fire shots at the injured CM Punk.
Prior to the 2024 Royal Rumble, it appeared to be a foregone conclusion that CM Punk and Seth Rollins would face off for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. However, disaster struck during the men's Royal Rumble match, as Punk suffered a torn triceps that will keep him out of action well past WrestleMania.
Following the WWE Elimination Chamber press conference earlier this week, Wrestle Radio Australia spoke to Seth Rollins about the injury to Punk, echoing words spoken by Jon Moxley during the rivalry between the pair in AEW.
"I mean, I don't want to say I told you so. But me and a lot of other people told you so. What's the line? Fragile mind. Fragile body. Fragile ego. I think somebody that I know said something like that about him and it rings true . So look here's the deal and I told him this in the ring, if you want to find your way to me and the World Heavyweight Championship you're gonna have to work for it, the deal is he's gonna have to work a little harder now." he said.
At the Elimination Chamber event on Saturday morning, Drew McIntyre would outlast 5 other men to win the Men's Chamber, earning him an opportunity at Rollins and the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleManai 40. You can read more about that here.
Punk addressed his absence from Elimination Chamber on social media. You can read more about that here.
