Seth Rollins speaks highly of Will Ospreay.
In 2019, Seth Rollins and Will Ospreay traded shots on social media over who had the best wrestling and which one of them was the superior wrestler. Rollins memorably brought up their bank accounts and subsequently apologized. Before Ospreay signed with AEW in November 2023, Rollins said that the "water was warm" after Ospreay reacted to Rollins' win at WWE Crown Jewel. Since Ospreay joined AEW, he has continued to solidify his status as one of the top wrestlers in the industry.
Speaking with Cameron Hawkins for The Ringer, Rollins commented on Ospreay.
"[He] is absolutely one of the best performers in the world, and I’m happy that he is finally, you know, getting to the very top level in our industry,” Rollins said.
Rollins also explained why he previously felt compelled to speak his mind. He emphasized that WWE was his home, and he goes to battle with the people who work for the company. Rollins stated that WWE was the best, and he believed in the work that they did.
"Well, not everybody has taken this stance over the years, but to me, WWE is my home, right? These people that I go to battle with every week on these live events and these TVs—and I’m not talking just the talent; I’m talking about the whole team, the production, the creative—love it or hate it, we’re the best. I’ve been a proponent of these people in my family and had their back for years because I believe that, and I believe in the work we all put together to make this industry the best it possibly can be," Rollins said.
During the interview, Rollins said that the best version of himself was yet to come. Check out his comments here.
