WWE Hall-of-Famer Sgt. Slaughter is returning to duty for Hasbro. Additionally, Hasbro announced their Youtube channel, Hasbro Pulse. Slaughter will have a new figure out coming out this year; there has not been a set release date. However, Hasbro announced that the figure would be in the Classified Series. The action figure will be six inches.
Slaughter's first G.I. Joe figure was available for mail-order offer in 1985 before being shipped into stores in 1986. Slaughter has seven different G.I. Joe figures, all in 3in 3/4 size. Slaughter also has over twenty WWE action figures.

Sgt. Slaughter's character first appeared in the G.I. Joe animated series in the second season's first episode, titled "Arise Serpentor Arise, Part 1." Slaughter has appeared in both the Marvel Comics and Devil's Due. Slaughter was also the featured actor in the toy lines commercials in 1989.
Sgt. Slaughter had a falling out with Vince McMahon in 1984 over character likeness and would return six years later. However, the WWE created controversy when they had Sgt. Slaughter portraying himself as an Iraqi sympathizer in a storyline taking place during the Gulf War. The former WWE Heavyweight Champion's last WWE match was on the December 29th, 2012, episode of WWE Raw in a losing effort to Cesaro.
