The Marine 6: Close Quarters was released this week. The film stars WWE superstar The Miz, SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch, and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
Taking part in a Q&A with Comicbook.com, Michaels discussed what it was like working with Lynch and Miz on set.
"I didn't know Becky very well. I think I met her once or twice before that. Getting to know her, even away from the film or wrestling, to me, that's the part that I enjoy most about my life now. To hear their stories about why they wanted to become a WWE superstar. Getting to know her on that level. The young lady who wanted to be a WWE superstar. How did that happen? Then you couple that with this being her first film, playing the bad guy, we're getting to know each other," said Michaels. "She did a phenomenal job. She is mean in this thing. They are so sweet afterwards. Mike and I knew each other. He was unbelievably gracious in all of this. He's been the guy that's been leading this franchise for the longest time. He captains the ship and sets the tone for the entire film crew and he was just great."
Lynch credited her conversations with Michaels for changing her attitude when she returned to the company following filming in November 2017. Lynch previously revealed that Michaels told her to "have the attitude that you're a top star." Now, she's The Man.
