Shawn Michaels: NXT Talent Would Benefit So Much If Sean Waltman Wanted To Get Back In The Ring

Shawn Michaels would welcome Sean Waltman (X-Pac) back if he was interested in it.

Waltman made a return to the ring in 2022, wrestling twice for GCW. Unfortunately, he suffered torn bicep in a tag team match and has been out of action since March. Waltman did appear on the November 29 episode of NXT as part of the panel to pick the competitors for the Iron Survivor Challenge.

On the NXT Deadline media call, it was noted to Shawn Michaels that Waltman had expressed interest in getting back in the ring.

"He didn’t say that to me while he was here, I would have taken him up on that," Michaels said with a laugh. "I know that he’s been getting back in there, here and there, he’s in like the best shape he’s been in, in a long time, he looks fantastic. Obviously, that would be something I would have to run up the flag pole. The talent would benefit from that so much. I know he’d have a blast. If that is an option that we are allowed to explore, I’d jump all over it. We’re all buddies, and he tells you guys, but he doesn’t say anything to me about it. We were busy trying to work and we can’t just pick it up and do it off the cuff like we used to. The time we did the panel, he was focused on helping us out and getting that done. It would be awesome. The talent would benefit so much and clearly, we do, as a program if we get that kid doing anything for us, that’s a huge plus for NXT."

Waltman previously said that if we was going to get back in the ring, it would have to be for something like the Royal Rumble. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
