In response to this, Matt Hardy, who obviously has built a legacy under the WWE umbrella, said that there is nothing wrong with good-natured ribbing between competitors as long as it is kept civil.
AEW & WWE are competitors, shots & jabs are to be expected. I don’t have a problem with jabs, as long as they’re not in poor taste.

In the build-up to the match, Chris Jericho also took some good-natured shots at WWE and how they build to their modern-day gimmick matches. You can view his comments here.
Of course, WWE and AEW were competitors on Wednesday night before NXT moved to Tuesdays. Since then, AEW has maintained their viewership number around the 1 million range.
