Smackdown 5/1 Viewership Drops 300,000 Over Two Weeks

Smackdown and Raw have both been slipping in ratings since WrestleMania.

Since the beginning of April, Raw and Smackdown have been slowly losing average viewership. Last week's episode of Smackdown lost 200,000 viewers and according to ShowBuzz Daily, Smackdown lost another 100,000 viewers this week. This week's show averaged 2.4 million viewers when it was over 3 million several weeks ago.

Once again, the NBA playoffs beat out Smackdown in the rankings. The game which played during Smackdown was ranked higher as was the later game and the post-game discussion. Smackdown also only had 770,000 viewers in the 18 to 49 year old demographic.

On YouTube, none of the videos from Smackdown had over one million views. There were two videos with over 800 thousand views. Those videos include Shinsuke Nakamura hitting AJ Styles in the groin and the opening segment with Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, and The Miz. Big Cass with the Daniel Bryan impersonator got over 700 thousand views and so did a tag match with Orton, Hardy, The Miz, and Shelton Benjamin.
