Sonny Kiss is back with a vengeance.
On the August 12 episode of AEW Rampage, Kiss appeared on AEW TV for the first time since October 2020 when she faced Boudreaux in a singles match. The powerhouse picked up a dominant win over "The Concrete Rose", but Kiss still made her mark later on.
After the main event match, when Orange Cassidy defeated Ari Daivari, Boudreaux attacked him and the Best Friends. Boudreaux, Daivari, and Slim J, collectively known as The TrustBusters, had the advantage, but Kiss stormed to the ring, seemingly ready to even the odds. Instead, she kicked Cassidy below the belt and watched on as Boudreaux slammed Cassidy to the mat. Kiss then stood alongside The TrustBusters at the end of the show.
Not willing to accept the results of the match, the #TrustBusters take matters in to their own hands by attacking #BestFriends and it looks like the #TrustBusters have recruited another member! After Rampage, when Alex Abrahantes questioned why she would do such a thing, Kiss stated that she chose winners.
I did the right thing. I chose WINNERS. -- https://t.co/kMaVU2FI8P

Prior to Friday's episode of AEW Rampage, Kiss last wrestled on AEW TV on the October 21 episode of AEW Dynamite in 2020. There, she lost to Kenny Omega in an AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament match. In recent months, she has been competing occasionally on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation.
