Jack Cartwheel Gives Insight Into WWE ID Program, Says WWE ID Is A Promotion Running Through X

The WWE ID program was launched in October 2024. The program was created to provide a path for independent wrestlers who want to build careers in WWE.

Jack Cartwheel, already an established name on the independents, was one of the first prospects to sign with WWE ID.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Cartwheel gave more insight into what WWE ID entails.

"I think it's such a great thing. I don't understand how anybody could think there is a negative side to it. The idea that we will have WWE signed talent coming to independent shows is such a great way for us to bring more attention to the independent shows that perhaps they've been forgotten about or left to the side. It gives a lot more attention to those promotions, which is a great thing, and hopefully we can draw more people and attention to any show that we do. That's why WWE ID is such a beneficial thing for the whole industry. Also, having any opponent that we're having a match with, that match is going to be seen by WWE executives. Even if it is somebody who is pretty new to the business, we're still going to send the match to them so we can know what they think of that match and that person gets an opportunity to be seen by very high ranking people in the company.

"A lot of the idea as well, which isn't very clear to some people yet, a big part of WWE ID is we're running a wrestling promotion through that Twitter account. We're wrestling each other at different independent shows all throughout the United States with different storylines within each other. It's not happening on a WWE ID physical show, it's happening at MCW in Los Angeles and it's happening at FIP in Florida. It's a nationwide thing where we're having matches against each other and you can follow who is doing better and who is doing worse."

Cartwheel noted he's 0-3 in WWE ID matches, which is part of the story they are telling.
