The 2021 Opera Cup winner was crowned at MLW War Chamber.
Earlier on in the night's tapings, TJP defeated Calvin Tankman to advance to the finals of the tournament. Waiting for him later in the night was Davey Richards, who had already defeated Bobby Fish.
Richards' road to the finals also saw him go through Tom Lawlor, while TJP knocked off Alex Shelley in an earlier round.
In a closely contested affair, it was Davey Richards who defeated TJP to win the 2021 Opera Cup. He joins Tom Lawlor and Davey Boy Smith Jr as the three tournament victors since MLW revived the event in 2019.

Richards has been adding to his trophy collection as of late. Last weekend at Wrestling Revolver's Tales From the Ring show, he and Eddie Edwards won the Wrestling Revolver Tag Team Titles.
War Chamber will air as episodes of MLW weekly series, FUSION, and is being filmed at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, the iconic home of ECW.
