New ROH World Tag Team Champions will be crowned at ROH Supercard of Honor.
The Briscoes (Mark and Jay Briscoe) won the titles by defeating FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) in a Double Dog Collar Match at ROH Final Battle 2022. Unfortunately, the duo never had the chance to defend the titles, as Jay lost his life in a car accident on January 17. Mark subsequently made his AEW debut on the January 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he faced Jay Lethal in a tribute match that honored his brother. Mark has competed for AEW multiple times since then, and he also wrestled on the first episode of ROH's TV show upon its return on March 2.
On the March 10 episode of AEW Rampage, Mark Briscoe addressed the status of the ROH World Tag Team Championship. He announced that a Reach For The Sky Ladder Match will crown the new ROH World Tag Team Championship at ROH Supercard of Honor on March 31. "Reach for the Sky" was Jay's catchphrase, and it plays at the beginning of The Briscoes' theme song. He introduced The Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) as the first team announced for the match.
Mark Briscoe @SussexCoChicken is here to announce that on March 31st at #ROH #SuperCardOfHonor, the #ReachForTheSky Ladder Match will bring in the New Era of Tag Team wrestling for #ROH, with the first entrants: #LuchaBrothers @PENTAELZEROM @ReyFenix!
