Pagano made his AAA return.
On February 21, 2023, The King of Noa Noa Style was set to undergo surgery due to an undisclosed injury, sidelining him from teaming with foe RUSH against the team of DMT Azul & Blue Demon Jr on TripleMania 31 Monterrey. There had not been any updates regarding his condition, but he has now returned.
On the May 25 tapings (full results here), Pagano made his return to address the crowd, spotting a new look with a beard and a white suit. He did sport a kane to walk inside and outside of the ring before telling the fans that he missed them and thanked them for giving him support. Unfortunately, Pagano was also attacked by a mysterious figure after the promo, possibly setting up his first feud back.

This was Pagano's first televised apperance for AAA since competing against Bandido, Hijo del Vikingo & Sam Adonis for the AAA Rey de Reyes Cup on February 2023, match that was won by Adonis. Fightful will have more updates regarding Pagano's next venture with the promotion.
