On Saturday morning, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro posted a video running down events taking place in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh in 2026, noting the MLB All Star Game, NFL Draft, and WrestleMania.

The tweet was deleted after news started circulating regarding his comments about WrestleMania 2026 being in Philadelphia.

The Governor's office has reached out to Fightful saying that their comment today indicating WrestleMania 2026 to Philly was a mistake:

"This statement was mistaken, and we apologize for the confusion amid all the incredible events Pennsylvania is excited to host in 2026. While WrestleMania won’t be here in ‘26, we look forward to continuing to work with WWE and wrestling fans all across our Commonwealth to bring more great events to PA in the future.”

Philadelphia hosted WrestleMania XL.

A venue for WrestleMania 2026 has not officially been announced. WrestleMania 41 in 2025 will take place in Las Vegas.

Fightful will continue to update fans on the situation when more is known.
