Steph De Lander speaks about working with Mance Warner in TNA Wrestling.
Mance Warner joined TNA alongside his real-life girlfriend, Steph De Lander, as they were revealed to be the individuals behind the number 23 vignettes. Following PCO's tense departure from TNA, De Lander was utilized to get the TNA Digital Media Title back on television. As De Lander had been married to PCO on television, she came out with the championship belt, saying that she had won the title in the divorce. However, regardless of her claims, TNA doesn't acknowledge her or Warner as the current champion.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, De Lander expressed her excitement about working with her real-life boyfriend. While she's not ready to return to in-ring action, she's excited to see what crazy things they can think of when working together.
“As you mentioned, we won the TNA Digital Media Championship. I won it on my divorce, which I think is one of the most unique ways that you can win a wrestling championship. I don’t think anyone’s ever done that before. But yeah, coming back off my injury, I’m obviously still a ways out from getting cleared to wrestle, but the fact that I have enough value in myself as a character to be brought back into TNA this soon, having the championship now, getting to introduce my real-life boyfriend Mance into the mix, I think it’s just a testament to people tune into what we’re doing. People want to see what SDL is up to, people want to see what Mance Warner is gonna do on the show. I think when you have a loyal fan base that wants to follow you and see what you’re up, I think then companies like TNA can take a gamble on it and go, ‘We’ve seen Mance, but we haven’t worked with him yet, but we trust that this is gonna go well.’ It’s one of the biggest angles on the show already, so I’m just excited to see what crazy stuff we can come up with together.
