Steve Maclin earns his opportunity at the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship.
Steve Maclin has been obsessed with becoming IMPACT World Champion, and now, he has earned his opportunity after defeating PCO, Heath, and Brian Myers at IMPACT No Surrender. PCO nearly had the win, but Eddie Edwards interfered and cost his rival, allowing Maclin to pin Heath to earn his long-awaited title fight.
It is unknown when Maclin will challenge for the World Championship or who he will face. Josh Alexander is the reigning IMPACT World Champion, but faces Rich Swann in the main event of No Surrender
In the past, Maclin has opened up about being laser-focused on becoming the world champion, saying that when he's done with that title, he may circle back to the X-Division Championship.

Speaking of the X-Division Championship, current champion Trey Miguel came out after the match to complain about not being on the live event.
This led to Miguel being laid out by PCO.
