Stu Bennett Says He Keeps In Contact With The Miz, Sheamus And Cesaro, Talks Still Being Known As "Bad News Barrett"

He's actually got some good news.

Former 5-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Stu Bennett is currently playing the role of the on-screen GM of World Of Sport Wrestling on ITV. The season's 9th episode concluded last weekend and this upcoming Saturday's show is the season finale. A relaunch of a second season of WOS Wrestling has yet to be confirmed but the promotion will be hitting the road in 2019 for their live event tour.

To promote this week's season finale, Stu Bennett spoke with 'Metro' and during the discussion he was asked does he still keep in contact with anyone that is currently in WWE and Bennett responded by saying he still keeps in contact with Sheamus, Cesaro and The Miz.

"I still talk to a few of them like The Miz, Sheamus and Cesaro. When the World Cup was on we had a group chat about it and were just ribbing each other about our teams, especially Sheamus because his team didn’t qualify." Bennett revealed.

Bennett then went on to speak about how he will forever be associated with the "Bad News Barrett" nickname and that it is great to have control over a name that the public can recognize him by.

"I’m still associated with the Bad News Barrett tag, but I’ve now transformed it to Breaking News Bennett," he explained. "It’s great to have a nickname that you have control of and can be creative with yourself. But I still get fans come up to me asking me to give them some bad news."
