AEW Continental Classic 2024 Night Ten Recap

Four matches in the AEW Continental Classic took place on the December 21st episode of AEW Collision.

The night started in the gold league with Ricochet (3-1-0, 9 points) defeating Will Ospreay (2-2-0, 6 points) to move to the top of the league.

As Ospreay was in control, Ricochet shoved the referee into the ropes, knocking Ospreay off the top rope. As Ospreay tried to get to his feet, and questioned the referee, Ricochet delivered a Spirit Gun, knocking Ospreay down to the mat. Ricochet followed up with a pinfall for the win.

In the blue league, Daniel Garcia (2-1-1, 7 points) defeated Shelton Benjamin (2-2-0, 6 points) to keep his hopes of finishing in one of the top two spots in the league alive.

Garcia was able to catch Benjamin with a jacknife pin to secure the win.

Also in the blue league, Mark Briscoe (3-2-0, 9 points) bested The Beast Mortos (0-5-0, 0 points) to move to the top of the league.

Briscoe picked up the victory with a Jay Driller.

The night closed with Claudio Castagnoli (3-1-0, 9 points) defeating Darby Allin (2-2-0, 6 points) in the Gold League.

Claudio distracted the referee by bringing a chair into the ring, and then hit Darby with brass knuckles as the referee got rid of the chair.

The final night of league action will take place on the December 25th episode of AEW Dynamite on 34th Street.
