Swerve Strickland has become one of the top stars in AEW, from winning the AEW World Title to headlining Wembley Stadium.
Swerve signed a new contract with AEW in 2024 that will keep him in the company for the foreseeable future.
Swerve's contract came up during a discussion with Bootleg Kev, who noted he read Swerve was under contract to 2029.
"Yup," Swerve said quickly. "There's nowhere else I would rather be. A lot of people say, 'Oh, that's just PR. He's supposed to say that shit.' No, I mean that shit from the bottom of my heart. There is no other place I'd rather be. I have bad days as opposed to good days. Of course. It's a job, I have frustrations here and there, but I work through those frustrations better than I did at other places whether it be Lucha Underground, MLW, WWE, NXT. Tony Khan and me have always worked through frustrations."
Swerve is the number one contender for the AEW World Title after defeating Ricochet at AEW Revolution.
