Swerve Strickland Discusses AEW Revolution Match, Says He Hasn't Liked Ricochet For Over Ten Years

Swerve Strickland will keep proving himself over and over again.

AEW Revolution was a big night for Strickland, as the former AEW World Champion was able to put his feud with Ricochet to bed by scoring a pinfall win victory over the former 'Highlight Of The Night'.

Now, Strickland has bigger issues to tackle, as he's currently the number one contender to Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship. AEW Revolution closed with Strickland taking out Moxley with a Swerve Stomp from the crowd.

During the post-Revolution press conference, Strickland commented on his match with Ricochet, saying that he can even make magic with people he doesn't like.

"This is the first time two black men went for the number one contendership for the AEW World Championship. I have no problem saying that over and over again, and saying it louder. I’m proud of that as well. Ricochet is someone who I haven’t liked for over ten years. 100% legit. Have not gotten along, and that’s what we can do together because I believe in our product, our talent, and our locker room. If I can do that with someone like that and push the bar again, I welcome anybody to come over to this company and think they can do that. Not just think about it, I want you to do it. I want you to actually prove it. I want you to put your money where your mouth is. Cash that check. We just prove that we can over and over again."

During the press conference, Strickland also noted that he suffered a ruptured eardum during his match with Ricochet. Check out his full comments on the injury by clicking here.
