Swerve Strickland: Mercedes Mone Is Worth It, Hopefully It Challenges Others To Boost Revenue For Females

Swerve Strickland comments on Mercedes Mone's arrival to AEW.

Mercedes Mone got a red carpet roll out when she made her AEW debut at AEW Dynamite Big Business, opening and closing the show to cap one of the biggest Dynamites in AEW history. Mercedes has said in previous interviews that she is about "the bag" and is reportedly one of the highest paid female talents in the entire industry.

Speaking to Bootleg Kev at Rolling Loud, Swerve Strickland was asked about Mercedes coming to AEW and her reported dollar figure.

"We're building a dynasty now in AEW. For what she can do for women's wrestling, not just for AEW, but across the industry period, it's pivotal. She's a matriarch for that. I've never seen a women's free agent make that kind of noise, ever. She's top billing. She's worth it. Hopefully that challenges other industries to boost the revenue for other female wrestlers," he said.

Mercedes and Swerve were both part of Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, continuing their respective stories.
