Swerve Strickland On A Potential Singles Match With Keith Lee: It's All About Timing

Swerve Strickland wants fans to be patient in regards to a future match with Keith Lee.

In December 2022, Swerve Strickland walked out of his and Keith Lee's tag team match against Shane Taylor Promotions. Only weeks later, Strickland went to unspeakable lengths to hurt Lee, as he stomped a cinderblock into his chest on an episode of AEW Dynamite.

Despite feuding off and on throughout 2023, Lee and Strickland have yet to meet in singles action, as they've only wrestled one another in tag team or trios action.

While speaking to DAZN for a new interview, Strickland was asked about the possibility of squaring off with Lee one-on-one. In response, Strickland noted that it's all about timing.

“Timing, timing. It’s timing. That’s all I can say about it, timing.”

Strickland is currently feuding with 'Hangman' Adam Page. After Strickland defeated Page at the WrestleDream pay-per-view, Page prevented Strickland from using a weapon during his recent match against Bryan Danielson.

Furthermore, Keith Lee last wrestled at the WrestleDream pay-per-view, where he teamed with Billie Starkz, Athena, and Satoshi Kojima in a eight man tag team match against Diamante, Mercedes Martinez & Shane Taylor Promotions (Lee Moriarty & Shane Taylor).

Elsewhere in the interview, Strickland talked about wanting to be the first black world champion in AEW. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
