Swerve Strickland is set to take on Keith Lee at AEW Worlds End.
The long awaited bout was made official on the December 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, as Strickland challenged Lee to a match after failing to win the Gold League finals in the Continental Classic. Tony Schiavone then informed Strickland that Lee had already signed a contract for the match, thus making it official.

Lee and Strickland teamed with one another throughout 2022 before Strickland turned on Lee in December. Despite the betrayal, the two never faced each other in singles action, which frustrated many fans who wanted to see a feud play out between the two stars.
