AEW has recently announced three big matches are set for this Fridays episode of AEW Rampage. Among the stars set to compete is Abadon. As a mainstay in the AEW Women's Division and still rather young in her career, Abadon continues to impress me with each new opportunity she seizes from the time I first saw her work from promotions in Colorado and through on to her being signed to AEW. There's no doubt that she will become a major heavy-hitter for AEW's Women's Division in the near future. While the future isn't now, at present, she is definitely an up-and-coming star on the rise and is set for action this week on AEW Rampage.
Abadon will be set to go one on one against the current reigning and defending AEW Women's World Champion, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD. The two will collide in a Trick-or-Treat match as the episode is set to air before Halloween in my favorite month of the year, Spooktober! This will be a huge opportunity for Abadon to gain an edge over the competition in AEW as a win over the AEW Women's Champion would be accompanied by some stellar bragging rights in the midst of the TBS Championship Tournament. While her success in AEW may be imminent if not incipient, this bout against Baker would certainly help Abadon return to the title conversations and up her spot in the AEW women's rankings.
Tune in to AEW Rampage live this Friday on TNT to see Abadon take on Britt Baker in a Trick-or-Treat No Disqualification Match. If Abadon wins she gets her own shot at the AEW Women's World Title. If it comes right down to it, I'm sure Britt Baker won't hesitate top capitalize on attacks and distractions from Rebel and Jamie Hayter. She's not ready to lose her shiny new AEW Women's Title yet. As mentioned, three matches were announced and as such the ladies will be joined by Matt Sydal versus Dante Martin with Lio Rush and a huge semifinals bout by way of Bryan Danielson versus Eddie Kingston in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament!
