It's official…As news broke and rumors came full circle, Tommy End former WWE Superstar and fan favorite formerly known as Aleister Black has now signed on with All Elite Wrestling. As reported by Fightful.com, and other news outlets, the former WWE Superstar made his official debut on AEW Dynamite under the new name of Malakai Black. AEW themselves were especially happy with their signing of Malakai Black when they took to social media to announce their elation with, "Welcome to the team… #MalakaiBlack (aka @Tommyend ) in #AllElite"
Malakai Black is one of several former WWE Superstars making huge waves in the Pro Wrestling Industry right now as he was able to take full advantage of WWE dropping their strict no compete clause. While not all recent WWE releases were as lucky, Malakai Black certainly wasted no time in finding a new home to showcase his innate abilities and world traveled love of Pro Wrestling. And the same could be true of AEW. All Elite Wrestling wasted no time in securing Malakai Black for the AEW roster. A match made in heaven or hell depending on who you are…
Malakai Black's debut on AEW Dynamite definitely sent a hellish message of epic proportions when he made his intentions known setting his sights on one of the top dogs in AEW - Cody Rhodes. Attacking Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson in your debut is definitely a statement making way to set yourself apart from the rest of the roster. At this point I think it's safe to say that Malakai Black's intentions are clear. And it may not bode too well for Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson. Now, if there's one thing that I know as a Pro Wrestler myself, it's that after a release from what's supposed to be your dream job, you have so much pent-up energy flowing through your veins. The desire to keep honing your craft and building on your career and your legacy. Your prime as a performer. The industry you've given literal blood, sweat, and tears all in the pursuit of a dream. Your dream. You are figuratively itching for the chance to show what you are truly capable of to everyone. To fans. To co-workers. To your former employers. To your family. To your haters. And most importantly to yourself.
What will Malakai Black do next? Will he find a prosperous new home within the growing ranks of All Elite Wrestling? How will Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson retaliate?
