Best in the World is a month away and Ring of Honor has scheduled a couple Championship defenses.
In the month of May, the Briscoes defended their Tag Team Championship three times against New Japan Pro Wrestling talent including the Bullet Club and Los Ingobernables de Japon. At Best in the World, they will be wrestling the Young Bucks who beat them in a non-title four way survival tag team match during the Honor United tour. In the four times the two teams have met in a tag team championship match, each team has won two of those matches.
In a YouTube video (which can be seen at the top of this page), Ring of Honor announced Punishment Martinez and Adam Page in a singles match. The two have been feuding for months without a one on one match. After Martinez won the ROH Television tournament, the match changed to World Television Championship match and a Baltimore Street fight.
While it had already been confirmed on a Ring of Honor broadcast, the promotion tweeted the official announcement of the triple threat World Championship Match. Cody Rhodes must win in order to face Nick Aldis for the NWA Heavyweight Championship at All In.
New Japan Pro Wrestling star KUSHIDA, EVIL, SANADA, and BUSHI will also be at Best in the World and the Ring of Honor event the next night. KUSHIDA was added to a singles match against Jay Lethal which was announced.
The Six Man Tag Team Championship will be contested at Best in the World too as The Kingdom defends against EVIL, SANADA, and BUSHI.
STARDOM wrestlers Kagetsu, Hazuki, Mayu Itwani, and Hana Kimura will be returning to Ring of Honor to appear at Best in the World and another show on the next day. These wrestlers will be in an eight woman tag team match which teams Iwatani with Sumie Sakai, Tenille Dashwood, and Jenny Rose. The other three STARDOM wrestlers will team with Kelly Klein.
Flip Gordon will be taking on WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley in a singles match during the event.
Best in the World takes place in Baltimore on June 29th. Fightful Wrestling will have coverage and results. Ring of Honor is discussed on the Fightful Weekender Podcast at FightfulSelect.com.
