Tam Nakano’s career in professional wrestling has officially come to an end.
In the main event of STARDOM All Star Grand Queendom 2025, Nakano lost the Career vs. Career match against Saya Kamitani, which also saw the World of Stardom Championship on the line. The loss was an emotional end to a historic career for Nakano, who asked for the loser of the match to not experience a retirement ceremony, retirement road, or anything else once they lost — instead, the loser would disappear from pro wrestling altogether.
She seemingly kept her promise, as after Kamitani and Nakano shared their emotions and love for one another in the ring, they both walked up to the top of the stage, sat together, and appreciated the falling feathers in the dark Yokohama Arena before the lights shut and it was over.
Kamitani defeated Nakano with her own finisher — the Twilight Dream Suplex. It was a moment and match that will be remembered for years to come in both STARDOM and Joshi, with Nakano’s run in the company ending once and for all.
Nakano finishes her career as a two-time World of Stardom Champion, two-time Wonder of Stardom Champion, one of three to hold each title twice, and the only other woman besides Mayu Iwatani to hold both championships simultaneously, doing so back in 2023.
The crowd of 7,503 at Yokohama Arena was the biggest ever for STARDOM, proving one final time that STARDOM’s Twilight Dream will go down as one of Joshi’s all-time draws. We wish her the best in her future.
