Taro Okada discusses Willow Nightingale vs. Tam Nakano.
On AEW Collision, All Elite Wrestling announced that Willow Nightingale would travel to Japan to defend her AEW TBS Championship against Tam Nakano at Stardom Flashing Champions.
Speaking at a press conference (via Himanshu Doi), Stardom President Taro Okada commented on putting the bout together.
"I was wondering if there was a way to make this happen, so I contacted them, and they contacted me and said, "When shall we do it?". We were talking about whether it would be okay to do it after the PPV, but they said let's do it right away," he said.
Nightingale is scheduled to defend the AEW TBS Championship against Mercedes Mone at AEW Double or Nothing.
The two will have a contract signing on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.
Stardom Flashing Champions is scheduled for May 18.
