Tay Melo wants to win the gold.
Tay Melo has not wrestled since March; she last competed on AEW TV on the January 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, where she and Anna Jay lost to Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale in a street fight. Melo announced her pregnancy at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. She has appeared a few times on AEW programming recently as part of a storyline involving the downfall of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
On the latest edition of Sammy Guevara's vlog, Melo was asked to name some of her goals for her return. She made it clear that she wants to win a title.
“I wanna get a title. All the belts, I’m not kidding. I’m gonna go for it all. Of course, I want the world title. But I’m up to do the TBS [Title] too. It’s literally like I was never motivated enough, I think. It’s almost like, ‘Yeah, everybody wants a title.’ But I was never like, ‘I want it more than anything,’ and right now, I do. So I’m getting it because I don’t know one thing in my life that I wanted to do and I never did. So it is what it is," Melo said.
Melo appeared on the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, where the Jericho Appreciation Society disbanded. It is not known when she will return to AEW programming.
