Mark Shapiro provides more insight into WWE-Netflix programming.
WWE will officially move to Netflix in January 2025 when WWE Raw goes live on the streaming platform.
Speaking at the 52nd Annual J.P. Morgan Global Technology, Media & Communications Conference, TKO President Mark Shapiro revealed there is more WWE programming that Netflix is contemplating.
"It is contemplated in our deal. We will do a lot of ancillary and shoulder programming, and I think the very first genre you’ll see out of WWE in terms of ancillary programming will be a 'Drive to Survive' show. That’s contemplated for the first season, and we’ll also do some documentaries, probably on a few of our superstars," he said.
Asked about a launched date for the programming, Shapiro said, "Our current deal is up at the end of the year for WWE, but I would expect to see a Drive to Survive-type show next year, to go along with the first of our live telecasts."
Nick Khan mentioned a "Drive To Survive" type show when the Netflix deal was announced. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
