Tom Pestock, formerly known as Baron Corbin, made his GCW debut at The People vs. GCW.
Pestock faced Josh Barnett in a Bloodsport Match at The People vs. GCW at the Hammerstein Ballroom on January 19th.
Pestock and Barnett battled it out early on. Pestock targeted Barnett’s leg. They were evenly matched early on. Neither man maintains an advantage for long, as they trade holds. Barnett dumped Pestock with a back suplex. Barnett trapped Pestock in an ankle lock. Pestock fired up and suplexed Barnett.

Barnett hit a series of clubbing blows. Pestock answered with a series of powerful shots. Barnett kicked Pestock’s legs. Pestock hit Barnett with a series of strikes and suplexed him. He suplexed Barnett again. Barnett trapped Pestock in an ankle lock again, and Pestock tapped out.

The match marked Pestock's first bout that wasn't in a WWE ring. Pestock entered free agency on January 1st, as WWE decided not to renew his expiring contract.
