Tommaso Ciampa is getting his wish.
For the first time in his NXT career, Ciampa is stepping away from Johnny Gargano. He was originally his tag team partner and then feuded with him for over a year.
Last week on NXT, Tommaso Ciampa confronted Aleister Black and said he wanted to move onto something else after his feud with Gargano. Black seemed game for the match and General Manager William Regal created the match for three weeks from now.
The match will happen on the July 25th broadcast of NXT which is over three weeks before the next NXT Takeover event.
While NXT does film matches in advance, the match between Ciampa and Black has yet to be filmed and thus is not part of the spoilers available at Fightful Wrestling.
Ciampa's old foe Gargano moved onto other opponents and defeated EC3 this week on the show.
