Toni Storm Admits She Was In A Bad Place Last Year, Wasn't Sure She Wanted To Continue Wrestling

Toni Storm is off to a great start in 2020, challenging for the NXT UK Championship at TakeOver: Blackpool II, the NXT Championship at Worlds Collide, and appearing in the Royal Rumble. But things were quite different for Storm last year, as she went through doubt despite being NXT UK Champion.

Speaking to BT Sport following the Royal Rumble, Storm reflected on where she was last year and her moment in the Rumble.

"This time last year, I was so depressed and in such a bad place. I didn't even know if I wanted to keep doing this because I was in such a bad way, but these things start coming up. If I can achieve this, I can have everything. I must be able to because I've overcome all that and I'm here in the Royal Rumble. I guess I can do anything, I was not supposed to do this."

She continued, "When I was a little girl, I'd print out match graphics and I'd put a photo of myself in them. I'd always write it down. I'd write down matches that I'd want to be in. Maybe it manifested. I just visualized it so long and it starts to happen. It's still just crazy."

Storm left social media for a brief period in January 2019 after private photos were released online. She lasted nearly 20 minutes in the Royal Rumble and currently splits her time between NXT and NXT UK.
