On the July 5 episode of AEW Rampage, Mariah May beat Hikaru Shida to advance to the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. If she wins the tournament, she will challenge for the AEW Women's World Championship at AEW All In. Toni Storm is currently the reigning champion.
In a digital exclusive, Toni Storm congratulated Mariah May on her win.
Toni Storm: Mariah May, you magnificent bastard. [Kisses her on the cheeks] Bosom. [May hugs Storm tightly]. No, darling. I want to be on yours.
Mariah May: Bosom?
TS: [Hugs May] Oh, darling. You make me so proud. Everything she gave you, you never gave up. You remind me of someone. Me.
MM: That’s all I ever wanted.
TS: Darling, next week, Calgary. The Owen Hart finals. We’ve got to do this right, and I have the best outfit for you.
MM: Oh, Toni.
Luther entered the room, and Storm scolded him. She then turned her focus back to May and said that the hardest part was upon them, but they would get through it together.
TS: Jesus Christ, Lutha! Excuse me. [To May] Darling, the hardest part is upon us, alright? We mustn’t forget who we are. We’re two girls, four tits, and a dream. Alright? We’re gonna get through this together.
May and Storm then chanted "together" together, and they jumped around.

May will face Willow Nightingale in the tournament finals on the July 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.
