Tony Khan Drives Darby Allin To Work On 5/22 AEW Dynamite, Allin Brings A Flamethrower

Darby Allin heated things up.

Throughout the May 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW EVPs the Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) stated that Darby Allin had been banned from the building. In the main event, Bryan Danielson faced Satnam Singh, who had been instructed to hurt Danielson ahead of the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing. Danielson scored the win via disqualification when Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal attacked him.

They ganged up on up, and he tried to fight them off, but the group overwhelmed him. The Young Bucks came down and attacked Danielson as well. Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry joined in, and there was no one available to help Danielson.

At the last second, a car was shown arriving on the video screen. The driver turned out to be AEW CEO Tony Khan, and his passenger was Darby Allin. Allin came to the stage, and he had a flamethrower. He used it to fend off The Elite. He and Danielson took the fight to their foes and ended the night standing tall.

Khan had been absent from AEW programming for the past few weeks, as AEW announced that he was not cleared to travel after The Elite attacked him on the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.

At AEW Double or Nothing, Team AEW (Danielson, Allin, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler) will face The Elite (The Young Bucks, Okada, and Perry) in an Anarchy in the Arena match.
