Tony Khan Plans On Keeping The AEW Pay-Per-View Runtime 4 Hours Long

Tony Khan believes AEW has found a good runtime for their tentpole pay-per-views.

All Elite Wrestling has chosen to run for major pay-per-views a year instead of the monthly format that professional wrestling has followed for the last 25 years.

Each one of their events is approximately four hours in length running from 8 p.m. eastern time to midnight.

The next pay-per-view event will be AEW Full Gear 2021 on Saturday, November 13. speaking on a media scrum to preview the event, Tony Khan told Dr. Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report that he believes the 4-hour runtime works for his promotion and he is really fond of the format.

"For the big four AEW pay-per-views, I think we found a great length that works very well for us. We've had really great reviews for the pay-per-views we've done, particularly All Out, which was the best feedback we've ever had on anything we've ever done on any show. It's the most revenue we've ever brought in for any pay-per-view and the best the fans and critics have received any of the shows. I really like the format and length of the shows, the four-hour main card, plus the Buy-In with a pre-show match or two. It's a good length of the card and we found something that works for us really well."

Fightful will have full coverage of AEW Full Gear 2021 and all media before and after the event on Saturday, November 13. You can check out the full card here.
