Tony Schiavone: I Don’t Think Bryan Danielson Is Going To Go Quietly In The Night

Tony Schiavone isn't convinced.

Bryan Danielson has said that 2024 will be his last year competing full-time, but he has also noted that he will continue to wrestle after that. Danielson keeps competing on a regular basis, as he often mas matches on AEW programming.

Speaking on his What Happened When podcast, Tony Schiavone discussed Bryan Danielson wrestling on both AEW Collision and AEW Dynamite; he had a match on the May 18 edition of AEW Collision, and he is set to compete on Dynamite on Wednesday.

“Back to Bryan Danielson wrestling on Saturday and Wednesday, I told him, I said, ‘You’re absolutely insane.’ But that’s the way he is, that’s what he does. I know he said this would be his last year wrestling. I’m not so sure [laughs]. I don’t think…he said ‘before I go quietly in the night.’ I don’t think he’s gonna go quietly in the night. I just don’t," Schiavone said.

Co-host Conrad Thompson then noted that he felt like AEW WrestleDream at the Tacoma Dome could be a fitting time and place for Danielson's send-off, given its proximity to his hometown.

“Could be the the end? Yeah, right, it could be. That is south of Seattle and a little bit northeast of Aberdeen," Schiavone said.

Schiavone and Thompson agreed and noted that they wanted Danielson to have a proper finale for his full-time career as a wrestler.
