Ilja Dragunov is cleared and ready to fight.
Ilja Dragunov was not medically cleared to compete at NXT New Year's Evil and could not defend his NXT Championship against Trick Williams in the main event.
On the January 16 episode of WWE NXT, Ilja Dragunov returned and revealed to Williams that they will be competing in their championship match at NXT Vengeance Day.

The problem for Williams is that he is currently teaming with Carmelo Hayes in the NXT Dusty Rhodes tag team Classic Tournament and should they make it to the finals, he will have to pull double duty at the Premium Live Event.
