Triple H is proud of Adam Cole's historic run as NXT Champion.
Cole lost the title to North American Champion Keith Lee in the main event of night two of the Great American Bash, resulting in Lee holding both titles at the same time, something no one has ever done before. On Twitter, Triple H commented on both Lee and Cole. He noted that Cole made the title "THE championship" and that Cole is just getting started.
There is a saying “it’s the talent that makes the title.”

During his 403 day reign over the black and gold brand Adam Cole MADE the NXT championship, THE championship. That reign might be over but he’s just getting started.

Cole's run as NXT Champion included him breaking Finn Balor’s record for the longest reign in NXT history. Cole became the champion back in June 2019 when he defeated Johnny Gargano back at NXT TakeOver: XXV. During that run, Cole would also defend the title at the Survivor Series pay-per-view last year, something no other NXT Champion had ever done before.
