Triple H Confirms That Bobby Fish Did Not Re-Injure His Knee At NXT TakeOver: War Games II

Triple H shares some good news.

Former NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish injured his knee in March of this year and shortly after he suffered the injury it was revealed that he was set to undergo surgery for a tear in his MCL and ACL. Bobby Fish remained out of in-ring competition until a few weeks ago at the NXT TV tapings heading into TakeOver: War Games II where he rejoined his brothers in The Undisputed ERA to set up the four-on-four War Games match that went down tonight at TakeOver.

Rob Van Dam Comments On Whether A Wrestling Offseason Would Work

As the War Games match was officially underway and all eight men were inside the cage, at a point during the match Bobby Fish's surgically repaired knee came into contact with the body of "Warbeard" Hanson. Fish immediately grabbed for his knee and began to limp. Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong could visibly be seen asking Fish if he was alright and checking on him.

Fightful has learned that Bobby Fish is OK and not injured. Triple H stated during the post-TakeOver: War Games II media call that he thought Bobby Fish re-injured his knee as well but Bobby Fish is fine and it seemed like more of mental thing seeing as how Fish had his sidelining injury just nine months ago.

"Yeah both [Bobby Fish and Pete Dunne are] fine. He [Fish] came back and was fine. He had a moment in the ring when he... you know, when you've had something surgically repaired, the first moment you take the big shot to that surgically repaired thing, there's a moment where you're like, 'Oh my God, I did it again' and then you realize, 'No wait, no, it held together. I'm good." Triple H explained. "I think that happened to him in the match and he just went with it from there on out. Yeah, he was fine."
