WWE was huge for Post Malone's childhood.
The popular musician has been connected to WWE in a number of ways through the years, most notably appearing in WWE 2K24 as a DLC character. Malone was also behind the game's soundtrack.
Outside of that, Malone has been outspoken about his love for wrestling in the past. While speaking with the High Performance podcast for a new interview, Triple H recalled chatting with the musician's father about how much wrestling meant to him as a child.
"Post Malone, I was in a meeting with him one time and his dad was there and his dad came over to me after and said, ‘Hey, I want you to understand, he’s not saying it that much, but growing up, you and Stone Cold Steve Austin were like his biggest things. I don’t know he would have made it through. He had a pretty rough childhood and I don’t know if he would have made it through that or made it to where he is if it wasn’t...you guys were like his role models and inspiration.’ Not because he’s famous, but to be there for somebody else, that’s amazing and inspiring."
Elsewhere in the interview, Triple H recalled pitching John Cena on his heel turn. Check out his full comments on the matter by clicking here.
