While WWE's Smackdown Live was on the other side of the country, Triple H was in California wining and dining an MMA superstar.
According to TMZ, Triple H was seen dining with former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey in Los Angeles, just weeks before WWE's first ever women's Royal Rumble match. The two were at Republique Tuesday night, the same night Smackdown Live was running in Alabama.
In August of 2017, Fightful.com revealed that Ronda Rousey had begun training, along with fellow four Horsewomen member Jessamyn Duke. Shayna Baszler, who is now in WWE's NXT brand and Marina Shafir -- Roderick Strong's fiancee, both have already been introduced into WWE canon.
Rousey hasn't competed in the UFC since 2016, when she was finished in short order by Amanda Nunes, about thirteen months after Holly Holm beat Rousey as well. Despite her absence, Rousey still holds the UFC female record for most consecutive successful title defenses.
