A new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion will be crowned at NJPW Castle Attack.
With Hiromu Takahashi injured and set to miss an estimated six months, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship has been vacated and a triple threat match between El Phantasmo, BUSHI, and El Desperado will take place on Sunday, February 28 at NJPW Castle Attack.
Takahashi vacated the title to kick off Thursday's NJPW Road to Castle Attack event.
Phantasmo was owed a title shot after winning the 2020 Super J-Cup against Takahashi. BUSH was set to take Takahashi's place, facing ELP in a singles bout.
El Desperado inserted himself into the match after he and Yoshinobu Kanemaru defeated Taiji Ishimori & ELP to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles at NJPW Road to Castle Attack.
