Trish Stratus On WWE-UFC Merger: Little Things Are Different, But The Machine Is The Machine

Trish Stratus talks the WWE-UFC merger that lead to TKO.

During WrestleMania season last year, it was announced that WWE had been sold to Endeavor in a blockbuster deal, with the company merging WWE and UFC into one entity following the deal going through. This lead to the formation of the TKO Group and a new regime.

One woman who was featured prominently on WWE television during this transition was Trish Stratus who was in the midst of a rivalry with Becky Lynch. While speaking to Brioux TV in a recent interview, Trish commented on the merger and the small differences she's noticed.

"There are little things that are different, but for the most part, the machine is the machine. There are the writers and the things that are still running, all the things are still in place. The writing team is in place, the producers, the agents, and the talent. Everyone is still doing their job. I think what they wanted was a bit of a seamless transition anyway. I think that was the idea. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It’s one of those things where it’s running, the WWE is what it is and it has its success. We have enjoyed some of the stuff that comes with being partners with TKO. Bigger exposure. WrestleMania this year is record numbers. A lot of fan experiences, they are creating things like that, which is something they bring to the table. It’s been a good partnership so far."

Stratus last competed in WWE in a steel cage match with Lynch at WWE Payback 2023. After the bout, Stratus would also be laid out by Zoey Stark.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Stratus commented on Rhea Ripley. You can read more about that here.
