Tyler Bate thinks the competition will keep NXT UK on their toes.
On September 30th, PROGRESS Wrestling presented their 'Hello Wembley' show and the headlining bout of the night featured WALTER defending the PROGRESS World Championship against Tyler Bate. Fast forward 11 months later and that match will be headlining NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff on August 31st as Bate once again challenges WALTER but this go around is for the WWE United Kingdom Championship.
On the August 31st day will be NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff, New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Royal Quest show in London and All Elite Wrestling's 'All Out'. During an interview with 'JOE', Tyler Bate stated that whether those aforementioned shows were happening or not, NXT UK is still going to put on the best show that they can but does think that it is good for competition.
"Whether there are any of those shows on, we still always go out to put on [the] best show that we can do. But it's always good that there's competition as it keeps us on our toes." Bate said.
There are currently four matches slated for TakeOver: Cardiff and to get a look at the updated match card, head over to Fightful's "events" page.
