And here we go...
The road to 'Hello Wembley' is shaping up as a number of matches for the event have been announced as we near September 30th. 'Hello Wembley' will be emanating from the 'Wembley Arena' and the show will be the biggest independent wrestling event in the United Kingdom in thirty years. Already scheduled for the show is a bout between Pete Dunne and Ilja Dragunov. Trent Seven will be challenging Doug Williams for the PROGRESS Atlas Championship and if Seven wins then Williams will be forced into retirement.
Now-NXT superstar Matt Riddle will make his final independent date at 'Hello Wembley' as well. All of 'British Strong Style' will be in marquee matches at 'Hello Wembley' as it was announced on the PROGRESS Wrestling Twitter account today that WALTER successfully defended the PROGRESS World Championship against Zack Gibson at wXw and PROGRESS' joint show and the next man who has stepped up to challenge the 6'4 big man for the title is the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate and that match will main event 'Hello Wembley'.
Zack Sabre Jr. was originally slated to be in the main event of 'Hello Wembley' but due to contractual obligations with NJPW, he was pulled from the show and today his replacement was named and that man is none other than Tyler Bate.
Fightful will have results posted from 'Hello Wembley' once that show concludes on September 30th but in the mean time, keep your eyes glued on the site for our live coverage article of 'All In' which kick-starts at 6 PM EST on WGN America.
