Another big name added to SmackDown 1000.
As if SmackDown 1000 could not get any bigger, WWE announced that The Undertaker will make his return to SmackDown on next week's landmark episode.
It's been 100 episodes since Undertaker last appeared on SmackDown. He was at the 900th episode of SmackDown, coming out during the Cutting Edge segment to give a pep talk to Team SmackDown prior to their Survivor Series showdown with Team Raw.
Since then, Undertaker has appeared exclusively on Raw. He most recently wrestled Triple H at Super Show-Down, losing in what was billed as the Last Time Ever bout between the two. After the match, Undertaker and his brother Kane attacked Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The angle set up a tag team bout for Crown Jewel.
Undertaker was one of the cornerstones of SmackDown during the original brand split in 2002. Even though he was drafted to Raw, he was moved to SmackDown shortly after and remained on the brand until the split ended in 2011.
SmacDkown 1000 takes place next Tuesday, Oct. 16. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event and a post-show podcast.
